blog love and music: how they connect
last night we were at rehearsal working on new songs and i literally got the chills in the middle of the session from the intensity. with each note being played i lost myself completely, as if every emotion, thought, and energy in my life was venting through those speakers, pounding through the drums, dancing over the piano keys. i realized my one true love. the only love that has never let me down and will never let me down. the only love that will ALWAYS love me back.

lets face it, folks. music is as much a part of life as government, as spirituality. as much a part of life as your cars, homes, cell phones, your lavender oils, your drugs, your alcohol. it is soothing to the energy, the energy that is everything. it lets your soul never forget who you are and what you believe in. the most beautiful kind of art, whispering the most beautiful things into the ears of those willing to listen.

no matter how horrible we are treated, no matter how corrupt our governments are, music will live on and remains the most untouched form of freedom of speech. as our freedoms are slowly taken from us, as are thousands upon thousands of lives, as our media is controlled and our news is filled with propaganda and biased material, tragedies and patriotism. one freedom that is untouchable, our freedom of expression by music and art. lets tell the world that we still feel, we still have our hearts.

we hope you'll come to see us at Lucy's in San Marcos on the 4th of December. come share your energy with us.

cheers,
casey /woolgather
